Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), Volume XIX
Another first: Sebastian can't take care of Ciel. Sebastian serves someone else (who is much more appreciative of his skills).
That "someone else" is a mysterious, kind (so far), smart, and hilariously ill mannered eleven-year-old girl named Sieglinde, who's both a witch and leader. I love her and her frank and simultaneously naive and adventurous notions of sex. And I'd love for her and Lizzie to meet. ;)
I'm thinking at this point that it's more about a plant or this "miasma," like from a night-blooming plant, that's causing those hideous reactions, even in Sebastian. I'm sure the shippers had a blast with the naked-in-the-cauldron scene.
Yesss, Finny's past, Finny protecting Ciel...so many feels.
Finally, I can't believe I'm saying this, but now I'm understanding how the two Ciel theory came about. Is he a twin, or did his psyche split? Imaginary friend? But Ciel says "so warm" when he's clasping hands with this other child...
Needless to say, I'm moving forward to Volume XX.
